As you all are aware the new amendments as published by NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority) relating to English Language requirements for International students intending to study in New Zealand are to come into effect for all visa applications submitted to Immigration New Zealand. The deadline for the same has now been extended to 24th October 2015.
Category 1 and approved Category 2 education providers can now use Internal English proficiency assessments only for international students from countries with an annual student visa success rate of at least 80 per cent.
Category 1, 2 and 3 education providers can now use previous study at schools where English is the medium of instruction as evidence of English proficiency only for international students from countries with an annual student visa success rate of at least 80 per cent.
For all other countries having visa success rate lower than 80% their students will now need to compulsorily provide other approved sources of English Language Proficiency Levels i.e. through IELTS, PTE or TOEFL.
